Tungsten T - inputting data without moving the slider -- Ken, 23:10:37 09/26/03 Fri

The one thing that bugged me with the T was that you had to pull down the slider to input text. Found a programme called 'EZKB' which once downloaded means that the on-screen keyboard appears (I prefer it to Grafitti) by right-clicking the centre D-pad button!

I no longer have to move the slider at all (very rarely anyway)- try it - the best 3rd party app I've tried!

The same tip also works on a Tungsten C as well, press the centre button and hold for two to three seconds when in the middle of an application.

Did you know if you do the same thing - i.e. hold the middle nav button - with the palm off, it handily brings up the clock, and then turns off again a second or 2 after you release....

Wassup tip for email -- Stevie, 23:59:52 06/15/03 Sun

Using 'Wassup' the today screen plug in for your Palm. You can actually tweak the email client to Snappermail so that it can record how many mail messages that you have coming in or going out. Unfortunatly the free application 'today' has less email applications to choose from.

Snappermail email date order -- Lee Jackson, 09:37:54 06/14/03 Sat

Although not obvious but if anyone uses Snappermail as an email client if they tap the top of the date column it will immediatly put into date order your mail. Simple tip and I know it is obvious however it is something that a lot of people ask how to do.

Removing resistant dirt from your screen -- Lynn, 05:14:00 06/14/03 Sat

If you have dirty marks on your Palm screen then just get a cloth, add a very small amount of washing up liquid, dont dampen the cloth and then add a small amount of talcum powder. Make sure your cloth is dry and then gently wipe the screen. Not only will the screen be clean but the talcim powder removes any sticky stuff on your screen without damaging it.

Being able to view your Palm screen in bright sunlight -- Lee Hayes, 05:08:43 06/14/03 Sat

I read this somewhere and it works so apologies if you know this tip already but if your outside and have a Palm with a poor reflective screen in other words you cannot see a flaming thing, there is a way to half solve the problem. Turn the Palm screen so it faces directly into the sun. Notice the difference? It does not solve the problem altogether but it does work to a degree.

Increase volume on a Treo -- Miles Geldon, 05:03:00 06/14/03 Sat

If you use a Treo phone and want to increase the volume whilst on a call simply use the jogger button whilst on the call. Stupidly I never realized this until of late
