Date Posted: 09:22:19 03/20/07 Tue If you are referring to the Grand Ocean Hotel redevelopment as the 'exciting new development happening in Saltdean', then I surely do. I think the development design is about the best we could expect - assuming reasonable quality of actual build. Even if the asylum seekers had been accommodated, the redevelopment would have happenened anyway, as the then owners of the hotel lacked the ability, will or motivation to re-invest. The hotel would have fallen down around their ears...
