Moved here in our 30s, and it is a fantastic place to bring up sprogs. Not sure what the previous poster was banging on about east and west sides - the west side tends to be a bit more more expensive - but whichever bit you land in, it will definately be all good. Date Posted: 05:42:54 05/18/09 Mon Agreed, Brad Spit's message is a bit garbled. The whole of Saltdean and most of the surrounding areas are great places to live. It has in the past suffered a bit from local snobbism, with people looking down on the east side of Saltdean and neighbouring Telscombe Cliffs / Peacehaven. However, one great thing about the recession is that it seems to have taken the wind out of some people's sails and popped a few over inflated egos. Thank god you don't have to listen to people bragging about how much positive equity they have in their homes, more seem to understand now that you should be grateful to have one, not glotaingly comparing it to other's. So, to conclude it's a great place to live, lots to do - walking on the downs and beach right on your doorstep, Brighton a few miles away etc, etc and you Yanks will just love our Chips & Fish. ;-) [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
