Gunn stands proudly as the trail of fire leads back to the warehouse with Cordelia inside
GUNN

(laughs)
Help the helpless? Can’t even help yourself
Connor looks at Angel with a sparkle in his eye – no words are exchanged, Angel simply blinks back at him.
Within seconds of Angel nudging Wesley’s arm both men charge at Gunn with their weapons. Gunn is clearly distracted by the fight – enough so that Connor can sprint over the external cars and crash into the warehouse.
INT – WAREHOUSE – NIGHT
Connor is trudging his way through the thick, dark smoke, coughing all the while as he calls out Cordelia’s name
CORDELIA (O.S)
Angel?
CONNOR
Cordy?
CORDELIA (O.S)
Angel! Oh thank god it’s…
Connor comes face to face with Cordelia
CORDELIA
The much shorter, slimmer, paler alive version of you

EXT – WAREHOUSE – NIGHT
Gunn has thrown Wesley out and over the fence, luckily landing on a patch of wet, freshly sprinkled grass.
Angel continues the fight until Gunn looks over his shoulder and spots a small slash of red hair coming from inside the car.
INT – WESLEYS CAR – NIGHT
Willow is kneeling in the car reading from an old book – a spell that sends tiny purple lights crackling into the air by the warehouse causing rain to tumble down onto it. She takes a breath and turns the page ready to cast a repellent as a shadow looms over her.
Fearfully she looks up through the window to see Gunn standing over her – she scurries through the pages desperately looking for the spell as Gunn vanishes.
WILLOW
Okay?
She calms briefly until the car begins to shake with her inside.
EXT – WAREHOUSE
Wesley comes limping back in to see a bloodied Angel looking on in shock as Gunn holds the car about seven inches about this head – flinging it hard across the yard – it flies for about eight feet before spinning down onto the ground.
Through the window, Willow can be seen – a thick streak of blood flowing from her head.

ANGEL

Angel leaps up and heads to the car, Wesley pulling him back
WESLEY

He indicates Gunn stomping over to the warehouse as Connor and Cordelia emerge
WESLEY
I’ll help Willow

Angel smiles at Wesley with sorrow before the two springs off into their separate places.
ANGEL
Gunn!
(pause)
You big lug I’m talking to you!
GUNN

ANGEL
Big lug – yeah ya big dumb animal
GUNN

(seeing Wesley pulling a now conscious Willow from the crushed window)

Gunn forwards to move past Angel pausing as he hears
CONNOR

(yelling)

Connor sprints past Gunn whilst holding Cordelia, Wesley is holding Willow and Angel stands still

ANGEL
Sorry Gunn!
Gunn looks at him confused as Angel turns and runs – flung forward as the entire warehouse explodes into flames behind him. Cordelia, Connor, Willow, Angel and Wesley all lay breathless and in shock in the middle of the path infront of the warehouse.
CORDELIA

Spike and Gwen turn to see a small army of former clients and colleagues lined up and ready, including the shells of Sirk, Knox and Lacey – definitely not axe wielding illusions

Spike roars “Come on” as Harmony goes into game face, Gwen removes her gloves and the two armies charge at each other.

INT – WOLFRAM & HART
Fred & Lilah rush along the corridor with immense speed having backed away from the others in order to retrieve the needed information.
LILAH
Stay close and don’t act suspicious
FRED

They can smell fear as if it were a barbecue – don’t sweat it

LILAH

Fred shuffles awkwardly as Mr. Sheperd, Angel’s department temp, stands ahead of them.
SHEPERD

LILAH
Mr. Sheperd, Winifred and I were just heading up to the laboratory to see if we can…
SHEPERD
The Lab has been closed Ms. Morgan
FRED
Closed? Why?
SHEPERD
One of our staff, a friend of yours I believe – he’s taken on a new attitude to life which seems to have caused some mild, shall I say, discomfort amongst the staff and clientele.
LILAH
What sort of discomfort?
SHEPERD
The kind that destroys thousands of files and equipment kills several people and outs the electricity hours after leaving the building.
LILAH

SHEPERD

Sheperd smiles cunningly as he walks away, bumping into a lifeless Lilah on his way.
FRED

LILAH

Lilah walks off, rummaging through her bag as Fred soon skittles behind her.
FRED

INT – WILTONS MANSION
Groo remains alone in the mansion whilst Mrs. Wilton attends Bingo – he’s stood steaming Angels pants as the door flings open – Angel tumbles in holding Willow whilst Cordelia limps between Wesley and Connor.
GROO

Angel stands silently before flicking his head up

Like I just got thrown around car and lived

Angel leaves the other four standing/sitting wide mouthed

EXT – WOLFRAM & HART CARPARK
Around eight broken bodies lay scattered across the ground as Gwen and Harmony remain fighting
GWEN
Billy Idol gonna take any longer getting back up?
HARMONY
Billy Idol’s here…never mind.
Harmony punches one of the zombies in the face before turning to Gwen
HARMONY
This sucks. We’re hot girls and we’re expected to do their jobs? I’ve already broken two nails
GWEN

Least they’ll have dinner on the table when we get home

As the girls turn to leave they are confronted by another, almost Identical set of zombies from all corners except the door.
GWEN
Looks like we’re going in doll
Gwen slams her hand on the closed door as it springs open – both girls dive in and freeze in the moment
GWEN

HARMONY
Yeah, my ankles must look so swollen
Gwen takes a breath to reply with a witty put down but it put off as the elevator begins to travel down at double the speed.
CUT TO.
EXT – MANSION
Spike comes sprinting down the road at an amazing pace – stopping as he skids the corner completely breathless
SPIKE
Bloody hell! I could’ve sworn it was there!
Spike takes in deep breaths and turns to run off again as Angel steps out of a door that seems to appear in the air.
SPIKE
Where’d you…
How come…
(pause)
Where’d the bleedin’ house gone?
ANGEL
It’s invisible
SPIKE
Right – won’t that make the keyhole a bitch?
ANGEL
Aren’t you meant to be with the girls?
SPIKE
Yeah – we’re getting our asses kicked
ANGEL

SPIKE

ANGEL

SPIKE
Harmony is eatin’ anything that moves and sparky’s goin’ off like July 4th they got it covered
(beat)

INT – WOLFRAM & HART
Lilah stands round a dark corner with Fred as four guards remain outside the door of the laboratory. Lilah pulls a pen knife from her bag and slashes her neck at the side
FRED
(shocked)
What are you doing?
Lilah pushes Fred out of sight and limps, half screaming down the corridor
LILAH
Help! Gunn – he’s back, he just he tried to
GUARD
It’s okay Ms. Morgan we’ll handle it – where was he when he attacked you?
LILAH
North sector
GUARD
You ran here from the North sector?
LILAH
Strange how you lose sight of mileage when you’re bleeding to death
GUARD

LILAH
No! Just kill him!
GUARD
(To Guards)
You heard the lady!
The guards march off out of sight as Fred sneaks out to Lilah’s side
LILAH

What exactly are we looking for?
LILAH

LILAH
Well then let’s hope we find a big folder labelled “Big Bad Gunn”

LILAH

We’ve got what we came for, let’s go.
Both Lilah and Fred freeze on the spot as everything around them fades to white.
They find themselves stood, alongside Gwen and Harmony in the centre of the empty white room.
GWEN
Minimalism – nice
HARMONY
Okay this room is way boring! And…what’s her deal?
Harmony points Lilah and Fred in the direction of Gwen who is bundled in the corner shaking – the girls fade out leaving Gwen alone as the entire room becomes an abandoned factory.
Gwen is sat in the middle of it as sparks and electricity fling and flash from all corners in her direction
GWEN
Stop it!
She stands and sprints through the factory leaping from piece to piece as the sparks follow her, one striking her down to the floor causing Lisa to fall from inside her top.
GWEN
You don’t control me
The sparks scatter around her until she rises to her feet, raising her hands
GWEN
You don’t OWN ME!!!
Fade to white.
Fred is stood in a large field, a small mountain at one side. She journeys across to the mountain and walks around the edges where she comes to see a small town – She’s in Pylea.
Fred gasps and takes a step back before being spotted by the market crowds who silence before charging at her screaming “cow”
CUT TO.
EXT – WOLFRAM & HART
Angels skids to the front doors of Wolfram & Hart with Spike and charges in (slow motion) Reservoir Dogs style.
One of the Guards approaches Angel – he’s floored instantly.
SPIKE
Where we headin’?
ANGEL
Someone’s expecting me
They come to the doors of an elevator and stare awaiting them to open.
Once opened, they step inside very casually as Angel presses in the code for the white room
ANGEL
That’s your stop
SPIKE
What do I do there?
ANGEL
Get in. Solve whatever puzzle is there. Get out.
SPIKE
What’s your stop?
Angel looks blankly before punching his finger onto a button marked SP
SPIKE

ANGEL

Spike looks at Angel in shock as the elevator doors close on them
