Buffy can barely speak. After the silence, Ling swings the blunt end of the sword and knocks Buffy flat to the ground before charging at Angel with great speed. SPIKE Argh! From nowhere Spike leaps down in front of Ling just as her sword lunges forward and goes straight through his chest BUFFY Spike! Ling flees the scene via the rooftops as Spike falls back into Angels arms, both falling down to the floor. ANGEL Spike? LORNE Coming right up Sweet cheeks Lorne pours out two equal glasses for Wesley and Cordelia and mixes them up, they walk through to the main room. LORNE Darn! You know how I love my limes! Lorne skips back smiling, his face dropping the second he enters the kitchen. The girl leaps into the air and spins, with both legs to the side. CUT TO. INT – TOYSTORE – NIGHT DAWN Where did it go? CONNOR I don’t know DAWN Did you see it? CONNOR No Both slowly step out from the corner as the demon springs out on them, Dawn begins laughing. It’s a tiny blue skinned creature standing at around a foot tall. DAWN He’s so cute The demon smiles at Dawn playfully until he opens his mouth for a feed, it expands by four feet to reveal eight inch razor teeth DAWN Crap! (beat) Kill it! CONNOR I’m focusing on living right now Connor flips over the top of it, catching his ankle on it’s teeth DAWN Connor! Connor lands on the floor in pain CONNOR Run! Dawn’s eyes flood with fear as she begins to sprint through the shop, chased by the demon all the way. In a spur of the moment spaz attack she begins to hurl rubber balls at it DAWN Good one Dawn! That’s gonna hurt him real bad! She just so happens to toss one directly into his throat causing him to begin choking The demons mouth begins to retract as he chokes harder, from nowhere shelf collapses down onto him, snapping his neck clean off. As the shelf falls flat, Connor stands proudly behind it, smiling. END OF PART THREE EXT – ROOFTOP – NIGHT Angel slowly comes round to see that the girl is already standing GIRL She got away, Angel ANGEL How do you know my name? GIRL How do you know you don’t know mine? ANGEL Because I don’t GIRL Fair play, I’m Kayla ANGEL Kayla. Pretty. (beat) How do you know my name? KAYLA Come on, you’re pretty famous ANGEL So, you’re like what? A fan? KAYLA Did she hit you in the head that many times? (rolls eyes) Your ex-girlfriend was one, your sister figure was one and the answer isn’t a female ANGEL Slayer KAYLA Three cheers for Master mind over hear ANGEL Should’ve guessed from the attitude KAYLA Sweet. EXT – WILTONS MANSION – TWO HOURS LATER Kayla is stood outside as she watches Angel and Buffy stand on one side of the living room, Connor and Dawn on the other side. Both girls are flapping their arms about dramatically as the men stand cross-armed. PAN UP TO LINDSEYS WINDOW AND ZOOM IN. Lindsey is fast asleep in bed, he turns over and smiles, his arm wrapped around Fred tightly. END.
