Here's how this deal went down:
Pepy said he had the Earnhardt '96 Olympic car for $65.00
I wrote him a couple emails, and even called him (he gave me his number) because I wanted to be sure the car was an Action 1:24 CWC. I had my doubts because of the "good" price. I have seen them go for alot more in here.
Pepy assured me that the car was in "great" shape,.. and if I'm not worried about the box, which "has shelf wear", then I'll be "very pleased" with the car. I sent him a money order, because that's the way he requested he be paid. He had some lame story as to why it had to be that way,.. I believed him. That was my mistake.
Anyway,.. the car shows up,.. and as soon as I took it out of the box I was upset. The paint is all chipped up, it looks like it was applied with a cheap brush,.. the decals are horrible,.. they're stuck over one another,.. and the body sits really close to one rear tire, but quite a bit off the other side's tire. I turned it over and looked at it closely,.. and it's a 1996 body stuffed down over a newer chassis.
I sent Pepy an email later that day. I told him I wasn't going to pay $65.00 for a painted up car with a $12.00 decal sheet stuck to it. He got upset and told me he didn't like being called a thief. I told him to send my money back,.. but all he wanted to do was talk on the phone so he could bs me some more.
I almost smashed that car with a hammer cause it was making me mad just looking at it. I told him that's what I was gonna do too, but I couldn't bring myself to do it, not yet anyway. I tried to sell it on this board,... but I can't bring myself to do that either. I don't want to inflict the kind of irritation upon somebody else that was inflicted upon me.
I see alot of posts in here about how happy everybody is with the deals they made with Pepy. I'm not going to attempt to take anything away from that,.. I'd just like to add that there's one very unhappy customer of Pepy's, who has every right to get his money back. The only reason Pepy doesn't want that car back is because I'm correct. It's a piece of junk, and he knows it.

P.S. You deal with him at your own risk. He won't even answer my emails. I told him he had seven days to make an effort,.. he's ignoring me because he's the criminal he's acting like.
