I hear ya. And admittedly they do seem to be winding Dee's role as schemer down. A good soap's gotta have a schemer. But I was disappointed Merle died to start with. I saw great potential in an elder marriage storyline with Merle and Rosy. My main beef with Rachel is that I was a big Merle fan and this storyline seems to step all over the qualities that made him so likable. If that's corrected down the road, I'll probably come around. But for now, down with Rachel.
