The press release must have been issued because there's an article in the Evening Standard:
www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard/article-23476099-details/Co-ordinates+are+set+for+the+Proms,+Doctor/article.do
High (or Low)lights, depending on your taste:
A Doctor Who concert (presumably replacing the Blue Peter Proms?)
Folk Day with maypole dancing on the first weekend
Stockhause Day (which we knew about - see Rumours thread)
Bach Day
Sleeping Beauty with Gergiev & the LSO
Lots of Vaughan Williams
Nigel Kennedy playing the Elgar concerto, cond. Vernon Handley
Murray Perahia
Last Night with the usual 2nd half (but hopefully minus the Chilcott interpolations in the Sea Songs)
The BBC Proms website still shows the 2007 programme at the moment. Roger Wright will be on R3 In Tune later today to talk about the season, so maybe that's when the website will be updated.
