Oh, and Brett, I know what you mean about being able to watch his 58 and 59 goal seasons live and in person. I remember (it seems like a lifetime ago) witnessing his rookie year, and his back to back 60 goal seasons (and trip to the finals) in front of my very eyes. Very few hockey fans get to witness that kind of individual brilliance over the course of being a fan. There are times you see maybe a "breakthrough" or fluke season (ie Iginla or Theodore or Bertuzzi), or guys who are consistently good but not necessarily flashy and amazing (Lidstrom, the Yzerman of today [but not the 80's, he was awesome], Sundin, etc).
Very rarely do you get to see amazing individual brilliance over the course of a few seasons. People from the past generations witnessed the Orrs, the Bossys, the Gretzkys. Our generation has had Jagr, Roy, Hasek, Forsberg, etc.
