Keep in mind...although I'm a big Pavel fan, my primary concern is what is good for the Panthers. Moreover, I hate the Avalanche. PERIOD. There's just no ifs, ands, or buts about that. It just seems that they are one of the few teams with the capacity to pull something like that off, where a Pavel style player would fit into their system, and the organization likely has the financial capacity to pull such a thing off.
Objectively, if I were a member of either Avalanche or Red Wings managment, I would not do any major tinkering with either hockey club.
If it means anything to you, good or bad, as far as teams I like/don't like... I have a significant aversion to the Rangers as well.
