Subject: Review of the 3/31/10 update!

Wow...that was a quick turn around! I'm not usually shy about being critical,
but I found very little not to like in this one.

Sapphire & Brimstone: Versus 5 – Always like to see Sapphire with a smile on her
face and having a good time (usually means someone else is having a bad time)
and with so many playmates to choose from how could she be anything but happy.
Bowling pins on league night have more of a fighting chance than Sapphire's
opponents and she doesn't disappoint here. Wondering how close this one was to
becoming a `far beyond driven' title.

Serena Vs London – Oooh…London looks like a brawler. Not really Serena's strong
suit and after a quick start things go predictably downhill for the blonde.
There's something about a barefoot wrestler going up against a wrestler in
boots. Kind of reminds me of the old 'bringing a knife to a gun fight' saying.
Nice set.

All Sleepers Day 4 – So, the site is called Sleeperkid's World and yet the 'All
Sleepers Day' series trails the 'Far Beyond Driven' series 4 to 14. Still liked
the set.

Hunter Vs. Hunted – Love the pros. Love the double teaming on April. Will love
it more if April makes a comeback and the redhead upsets the pair of blondes.
Bonus points for Amber in Baywatch red with white fishnet.

Knockout Costumes – Oh mercy! Cosplay with Addie & Paris! Addie does a great
Riddlerette (tough costume to make work) and Paris fills out the Bat-girl suit
better than Alicia Silverstone ever did. Nice pairing. The 'buckle' on the
Riddlerette costume looks like it's had better days. The tag says 'gentle
cycle' - line dry in the shade! See, I can be critical.

Jackson's Curse – I can't remember the last time I spent the night in New
Orleans and didn't wake up with a voodoo talisman shaped like a horse's rectal
thermometer on my pillow. Seriously, the place is lousy with them. They should
put a warning sign in the hotel lobbies. I didn't care for this set during the
last update and the only way you're going to change my mind is if Jackson winds
up in a black latex bodysuit so tight it...nevermind. Curse lifted.

Fiona meets Devon – Nice decisive ending and a good win for Devon. Especially
liked the mat wrestling surfboard and headscissors choke out.

Amy-zon vs Three – Okay, Amy-zon dispatches a pair up to this point and her
opponents use more energy carrying away their bodies than she does in taking
them out. How much trouble can the third one be? Answer...a little trouble.
Love her headscissors escape. Then it's time for the always helpful
demonstration of what happens when you dive head first into an empty pool.

Unprovoked – Nice surprise. I liked the early contrast of soft lighting with
Eliza's classic Victorian beauty before cutting to the 'thuggish' Devon and
Alex. The blue brutes predictably double team and beat down the newcomer. Nice
ending...oh, but wait! The newbie pulls a surprise, leveling the bullies and
delivering a nice double elbow drop complete with 'Rock Star guitar jam' pose.
I know how this ends. Alex and Devon show a growing respect for Eliza's
differences and blue and purple learn to live together as part of a diverse high
school learning environment. No no...that was an after school special I saw
back in the 80s. Instead Eliza delivers a one sided beating punctuated by a
double choke slam and humiliating double leg hook pin. I don't recall seeing
that in any after school specials, but think I like your ending better.

Trials of Anne-Marie: I like each of these matches and like them even more as a
pair. More often than not Anne-Marie seems to get cast as the 'no-chance'
jobber...always the underdog even against the other jobbers. To top things off
she shows up barefoot against a booted Sapphire. Forget bringing a knife to a
gunfight...this is like showing up with a rubber knife...or a cream pie. You
know the barefoot wrestler is going to get crushed, but does she really have to
risk getting her toes stepped on too? It looks like Sapphire could have phoned
this one in, but fortunately for us she doesn't and as a result Anne-Marie gets
the business end of one of those devastating beat downs that only come around
with every other Super-bowl. Of course the only scenario where a 'no-chance'
jobber actually stands a legit chance of winning is when they face off against
the cocky jobber. Enter Addie Juniper. Addie is well cast as the overconfident
bikinied mat-brat who just might get her comeuppance against the truest of
underdogs. Anne Marie puts up a game fight but it's not to be. By pairing this
match with Sapphire's beat down we get another contrast. Is it more devastating
to take a beating at the hands of a clearly superior wrestler or to come close
to a rare victory only to see it slip away (or in this case having your face
raked and being knocked out repeatedly until your opponent finally drives you
face first into wooden and brass sign)? Tough call.

Nice update!
