Subject: Ad lib/personal endorsement commercials

I think this is an aspect of radio that may be all but gone. DJs used to do ad lib commercials for certain clients where they would talk about their personal experiences with that business. Bob Tracey used to do commercials for a restaurant in Gallitzin, PA that made you want to jump in the car and go there. Bob also did commercials for the Johnny Garneu (sp?) restaurants where he would talk about eating there and what dish he had, etc.

I believe Jack Bogut and Chilly Billy may still do some of these on WJAS but I can't listen to WJAS since they ended the webcasting. OTherwise are there are any people doing these kinds of commercials? I think that maybe some of the talk hosts do them, but I'm thinking more of commercials within music programming.
