Subject: O'B & G's Missed Opportunity

Yesterday I was in Hudson, Ohio, the fictional home of WHUD & WSON-FM. O'Brien & Garry used to get on-air visits from the stations' general manager (don't recall who portrayed him)who tried to entice "the boys" to jump ship and join him. I found it funny because it sounded an awful lot like WBUT & WLER-FM in Butler. Their refusal had a certain irony because of the unstable nature of what was (then) major market radio. Another irony is that Hudson, Ohio, is so up-scale that you would have to be top-rated in a major market to afford to live there.
