Somewhere in my stack of dust-gathering VHS tapes I have a recording of WTAE-TV signing off, sometime in the mid-1980's. They did indeed advise viewers to tune to Sara Lockard on WTAE Radio. Once they switched off WRC-TV from Washington, DC comes skipping in and stays on the tape for several more hours (the tail end of that in a test pattern)
