Some of the early (1971 era) DJs on WDVE were Don Davis, Harold Russell, Denise Oliver, Dwight Douglas and Ken Spector (Karpinski). Denise Oliver and Dwight Douglas went on to become major radio programmers/executives.

A bunch of them left WDVE in 1972 and went to WYDD because they were given more freedom to play what they wanted. I remember them handing out flyers outside Three Rivers Stadium touting "free form WYDD."
