I remember reading somewhere that the vocal group The Four Coins from Canonsburg got their start on the show. I'm sure there were others.

The show had a really long run on radio and tv. It ran on radio only from 1935 to 1950; simulcast on radio and tv from 1950 to 1955; and tv only from 1955 to 1957. Al Nobel was Master of Ceremonies from 1950 to 1955. The show was also the first regularly scheduled live television show in Pittsburgh; and the first regularly scheduled radio/tv simulcast show in Pittsburgh.
