I'm pretty sure none of the Pittsburgh stations went to 30-minute newscasts until later in the decade. As late as 1967-68, I clearly remember the Tonight Show starting at 11:15 on Channel 11 (NBC broadcast an optional 15-minute warmup segment with Ed McMahon and Skitch Henderson, then Johnny Carson came in with his monologue at 11:30).

Also, I believe Dave Murray later became program director of WTAE-TV.
