I thought the same thing when I read that quote. Broadcast managers have been using that excuse for years to get around the "for cause" clause in performers' contracts. However, in these days of broadcast consolidations, while the manager may indeed be gone in six weeks or so, he or she will be kicked upstairs or moved to another market. With a nice raise, of course.
