They were on KDKA live daily with Johnny Costa providing music to accompany Elaine's singing and background themes. The show was Meet Your Neighbor and the main feature was a quiz with a few women from the audience. They would select a letter from a board that spelled out Meet Your Neighbor. On the back of the letter was a question and a piece of wood that would be various lengths. If you got the question correct, you had that section placed over your name and after a number of questions, who ever had the long complete bar won. (sort of like a bar graph) They won sometype of prize package and members of audience received samples of the sponsors products. Joe Mann interacted with the ladies ala Pat Zajack with Elaine as sort of an early version of Vanna White. The audience was made up of mostly women from various garden or neighborhood clubs and was on following the noon news and soap operas. I attended one of the live shows with my mother and her club...I remember Joe and Elaine were two of the shortest people I ever saw.
