If we are talking about radio & no breaks for another market, Bogut is up there. He arrived in 1968 - I remember hearing reports on his program about Robert Kennedy's condition before he died.

I also remember being a little surprised that KDKA had hired someone so old - based on his voice and the kind of stories he told, I thought he must be around 60! Of course, his age became a running gag for O'Brien & Garry - senior citizen announcer auditions. They also joked about being replaced by him - which, in effect happened, when they were moved exclusively to the FM side.
