I remember Alexander Martin's show on WAMO well. Sometimes older women would call to request a hymn, or they'd let a kid, possibly a grandchild make the call, all calls heard on-air. Sometimes it didn't work so well. One time some teenager called in and yelled, "Hey Martin, I wanna hear 'Soul Dance Number 3' by Wilson Pickett!" Martin explained it was a hymn show. The kid sassed him back. Irreverent but hilarious.
