I used to take the bus to Pgh. every three weeks for a brief orthodontist app't at the Jenkins Arcade. Afterwards, I had over an hour to kill before catching the bus back home. So, it was off to KQV to watch the DJ's at work (usually Dave Scott in those days)..anyway, the console pictured is probably home-brew. KQV was a union shop in those days, and the "real" console was on the other side of the window. The headphones are of the Brush-Clevite brand, probably. KDKA had a similar arrangement, the console the jocks used had pots that ran "full open", a mic switch, and a "news beep" button. The union engineer ran the console on the other side of the window, and also kept the tx log, and a duplicate copy of the program log to check off commercials that ran during the shift.
