I didn't believe it until a neighbor told me to listen in the early 90s but Al's station was so wild that once they played a parody of Al's talk show on the talk show.

Whoever it was imitated Al, some of the better known callers, etc. very convincingly. Al was laughing so loud you could hear him over the mike.

Another time they did a "Star Trek" parody where Kirk and Spock beamed to the Westmoreland Courthouse looking for intelligent life, talked to some politicians there (the voices also imitated) decided there was no intelligent life there and beamed back to the Enterprise. Nasty.
