Subject: Why Did Channel 11 Struggle For So Long?

As mentioned in recent posts about the anchor teams of Channels 2, 4 & 11 from the 70’s & 80’s, I’m just curious to know why Channel 11 struggled for so long in the ratings. Two possibilities…

1. NBC was in the ratings dumper (third behind CBS and ABC),
2. A lack of radio sister stations like a 1020, 1250, 92.9 or a 96.1…

These are just a couple of reasons. If anybody else has anything else, I’m just curious to know.
