As I recall, 13Q came on with contests, fewer spots and a younger sound. And, Cecil Heftel was apparently willing to spend money. There was talk of Heftel hiring Jack Bogut away from KDKA for the morning slot with me to follow, but Jack turned it down. There was also the 13Q ID. At the time, ignoring the call letters in favor of the frequency number was somewhat unique.
