Some of the best TV commercials back in the day were the cigarette ads. There were some really memorable campaigns, like the disadvantages of the Benson & Hedges 100 mm cigarettes (which convinced me to change from Marlboro kings to Marlboro 100's). As I recall, the song "The Disadvantages of You" became an easy listening format hit song.

I still remember the "silly millimeter longer" 101's commercial, except for the brand name. The Iconic "Marlboro Country" ads with the theme from the Magnificent Seven soundtrack as still memorable. I've heard more than one report that the very first "Marlboro Country" ad was filmed in Peters Township, and that they didn't spring for the big bucks to shoot in the Rocky Mountains until they saw if the first one would work.
