Yeah, it was good (and for me, too, a cherished time, to listen to DVE) that they had to actually go through their library, for their 'Memorial Day Weekend 500', but, then again, it was maybe just to decide which albums they'd have to keep in their on-air studio, for the rest of the year, but I, too, enjoyed these weekends! Just too bad, that by the mid '80s, they weren't still as nonconformist, as they were a decade or so earlier.
