Subject: Chuck Brinkman in serious car accident

Just learned the following from one of my Facebook friends:

John J. Chapman
For those who don't yet know, legendary Pittsburgh and Dallas/Ft. Worth radio personality, and my good friend, Chuck Brinkman was involved in a very serious automobile accident yesterday. He was 't-boned' by an SUV very near his home in Plano. Here is an update from his daughter, Christene:

I really can't thank everybody enough for all the thoughts and prayers. Dad has six broken ribs, one of which collapsed a lung and caused internal bleeding, he also has a large bruise on on one kidney, causing it to not function. his pelvis and hip are shattered. He remained stable over night although there are concerns about the bleeding, of course, and the kidney. He is getting blood transfusions and dilaudid, the latter of which he reports enjoying. he is totally aware, if stoned. Please, please keep the thoughts and prayers coming. it means a lot to him. He is a tough guy, as you know, but he is 76 and very badly injured. love you all.
