Subject: Lee Arthur

Although I was a young kid at the time, I do seem to remember Lee Arthur well enough.
I believe she succeeded Jim Forney and then was eventually succeeded by Greg Benedetti for KDKA-TV2’s weekend sports.
I also seem to remember she had a high-pitched laugh that seemed to drive the adults in my household nuts.
Lee Arthur’s hiring at Channel 2 was quite the saving grace for Channel 4, who had found themselves in hot water for bumping longtime sportscaster Ed Conway to the weekends in favor of Jack Fleming. As a result, from 1973 to his death in 1974, Conway’s weekend sportscasts were considered the best of any of the three Pittsburgh stations.
