KDKA-TV signed off for the night in the early 60s; don’t remember the exact years or time (I was 10 - 15 years old at the time). I remember this because I sneaked downstairs many nights, turned the rooftop antenna around (we had a box for that), and watched old movies on “Milkman’s Matinee” on channel 2 Detroit. My family couldn't’t understand why I was so hard to get up in the morning.
