Watching the Harvard/Penn game on NBCSN.

Does Harvard even have gold pants anymore? Seems like they've worn reds every game this year. Does that mean they'll go with the full-tomato look next week for The Game?

Also, nice to seen Penn wearing their school color (Gray) tonight. (sarcasm)

"Tradition" has been redefined as wearing the same uniform for two weeks in a row, I guess.

And what is with the gray (which does not seem limited to Penn, BTW)? One can imagine an all-black versus all-gray night game in the not too distant future. Scintillating.

How much of this comes from sponsors who insist on using new designs every week to "show off" their equipmen?

The Ivy "Game of the Year" as some styled it:

But I expect that if Harvard does eventually win a share of the title, It's athletic department web site will, again, claim a championship.

There was something very disturbing going on at Penn yesterday. If you use google you can find out more. There was a lot more going on that impacted the student body than the football game last night.

Why so cryptic? It was a Black Lives Matter demonstration that evidently prevented people from entering for a while unless you are referring to something else.

definitely disturbing but I seriously doubt that it had any impact on the attendance

Hate to say it but uniforms and cool helmets are all about recruiting these days. The kids love it so the more variety thrown in the more they get excited.

I know the response here will be student athletes playing Ivy is all the motivation they need but if you know kids these days, you would agree the uniform changes does factor into their decisions.

The Princeton all-orange look has less in common with logic or aesthetics than to the popularity of zombie films.

At least the pumpkin suits have been banished from the senior picture

I believe they wore gold pants in Providence back in September.

No, they wore red then:

(And Brown wore the school color that day. Oh wait, no they didn't.)

I must grudgingly admit that I've always known the Princeton pumpkin unis, as disastrous as they are, have an edge over the old Northwestern black outfits with purple trim, reminiscent of something from last month left in the bottom drawer of the fridge. The Universitatis Brunensis black/brown version, however, is the clear, uh.... five yards for a false start, maybe? Wow, a bad idea run berserk.

Anybody have a DVD of Friday's Penn-Harvard game and have a DVD they are willing to trade/sell?

Thanks,

Omar
