The article I linked in a previous thread pointed out how Harvard boosters were eager to boost Amaker's income in order to "help keep him around". Something Yale boosters' and other Ivy school supporters need to consider as well when it comes to rewarding their top coaches or hiring new ones.

Harvard fans (or some of them) have vociferously denied such notions in the past, claiming that journalists like John Feinstein are completely unreliable. Will they make the same assertion about the WSJ?

Booster groups, cheating scandals . . . . With what type of athletic programs have these terms been inextricably associated for decades now?

Shamefully, Harvard has abdicated its putative leadership role in higher education by utterly failing to show so-called lesser institutions "the way" through a demonstration of ethical courage. Instead, it has eagerly jumped on board this country's race-to-the-bottom culture train by opting to descend the grimy depths of the "better-stay-out-of-the-showers" Penn States of the world, thereby leaving the Ivy League "athletics-in-proportion" concept in tatters. They're doing just a standout job at willfully ignoring the old adage, "with privilege comes responsibility." Sad and disappointing. Will not end well for this society.

Who's been denying that Harvard's Friends' group put together a very healthy package for Amaker. Pretty sure there's a story about it with quotes from the Friends' group in The Crimson.

I've been critical of journalists that have botched the AI discussion several times in the past but are there really people denying Amaker makes A LOT more money than his predecessors?

Good evening guys,
Anybody record the Penn-Harvard game from Friday night? I'd be willing to pay money or trade dvds if anybody has a DVD of the game.
