Data which is relatively meaningless in terms of talking about popularity, unless you show shares and what was counter programmed...

As mentioned elsewhere in this space, other conferences have seen the value of Friday Night for TV. Would not surprise me if this past season had more competition from group of five conferences than the previous year.

The big challenge here for the league is that the coaches love National TV - it's huge for recruiting, especially against bigger FCS and lower FBS competition.

But for the schools, it kills the gate. As it is already, there is not much of a secondary market for Ivy football - if you want to come, you can always get a (good) seat, even to H/Y.

The raw truth is that there is little to no unaffiliated interest in these eight schools outside of the most loyal locals, because of five decades of little to no investment in consumer marketing. This means no crowds and little to no atmosphere that you get elsewhere, even at Delaware.

Why come out to a cold empty stadium, when you can watch your alma mater from home?

As long as the league doesn't attempt to market to casual fans - there should be no paying attention to ratings. As long as the coaches and big-time donors are happy, the league should continue the endeavor.

TV commercial revenue will determine programming changes for NBCSN. Pretty easy to see there's not much viewer demand for Ivy football and at the end of the day it's all about money.

Attendance at most ivy games wouldn't change much even if there were free admission.
