The talent JY inherited when he arrived at DC was how he was so successful. By the time he left, he had lost his energy and it showed in the results. BT inherited a weak program his first time at DC, but this time the program was in a huge hole. Forget the records, the talent was just not there thanks to 5 or 6 years of the Admissions office screwing the program. The talent was miserable, not to mention the facilities compared with others. As for the change in the O coaches, the O was so predictable that it was embarrassing. Part of BT's change in approach when he hired the new O Coordinator and new D Coordinator 5 or so years ago was to let them run their piece of the pie. Worked well with the new D coordinator, but with the new O Coordinator, the lack of creativity was hidden by a fantastic 4 year QB. But the last half of the '15 season, the O was simply average even with the all everything QB. The D won the title last year. This year the O some good stats but could never make the big play in close games. But should those games even have been close with the talent on the field? I don't think so. So, something had to change. The O Coordinator is a great line coach but as a Coordinator, he just did not make the grade. And he'll do great in his limited role.

While I agree with the vast majority of what you wrote, if Yukica had "lost his energy" in 1986, then Dartmouth deserves a lot of that blame.

The AD tried to get Yukica to resign after 1985. Yukica sued to play out his contract. The parties settled (although Yukica won some early rounds before the judge). Story I heard was that the Dartmouth administration was very pissed at him and wanted to make his life as difficult as possible that final year. Among other things, the AD refused to send janitorial services to the football offices to empty trash or replace toiler paper.

Couple that with several blowout losses early in the season, it's easy to see why Yukica wasn't having any fun. Credit to him for a strong finish at the end of the season, though.

Teevens did not do his homework on Keith Clark. Clark's play calling at Yale was predictable and cost them a few games in 2008 (with largely the same squad as the 9-1 2007 team). He is a fabulous o-line coach though.

gentlemen; for what it is worth i agree mr clark was an excellent offensive line coach for our blue squad and would be a welcome addition back. as to his play calling on behalf of our blue squad although my recollection my be hazy was limited to possibly at junior varsity games. if you want to review predictable play calling may i remind everyone of mr laspina's rendition of mr hayes playbook.
