Right now, Harvard is doing more to undermine the traditional academic principles of the Ivy League since they led the charge to rein in Penn's perceived abuses in the 1970's.

The question is whether Harvard would take any public action to loosen the prohibition against playoff football, thereby publicly chipping away at the historical excuse of protecting first semester exams, when the Crimson are already at risk of being viewed as not committed to academic rigor.

In the famous words of Jan Brady, "It's always about Harvard. Harvard! Harvard! Harvard!"

You know, I'd be willing to forgive all of Harvard's transgressions if they would just stop cheating in men's basketball or, as Foehi would call it, basketball.

Harvard, STOP lowering academic standards in men's basketball. You're ruining what the Ivy League stands for. If we don't stand for high academic standards, why have an Ivy League at all? STOP IT, for the good of all eight institutions of higher LEARNING.

Or, as suggested by some folks around here a while ago, they could acknowledge the obvious and join their academic and athletically philosophical peers at Ohio State.
