There was a time, not too long ago, when mighty Harvard battled Princeton and Penn for Ivy League championships. Now, the Crimson celebrate winning the "who cares" race against Yale for usually meaningless touts. How the mighty have fallen.

He may not run a 4.27, but he sports a smashingly fashionable dog collar.

What was the observation somebody here made about Buzz Bissinger? Where is the line between fetish and fashion conscious?

5'9", 200lb, it says, but I'd say more, now that he's 18. Just take a look at the body on him while running track - shown on the 247 page linked. Almost unbelievable. No wonder he got 22 offers. Looks like he could break a tackle or two. The Patriots could use a body like that coming out of the backfield in Houston.

He did not make the All-Met team (including honorable mention) for his area.

Interestingly, and since you bring it up, the Patriots RBs are all noticeably bigger (per their website) except for Dion Lewis, who's the same size, although we cannot dismiss either the possibility that the weight of the spiffy collar accounts for the difference or the application of Trumpian alternative facts regarding size.

Regardless, I'm sure he will be a fine player, and more importantly has secured for himself a fine educational opportunity.

Am I the only one here who is a little uncomfortable yet still amused when grown men say things about high school boys like, "Just look at the body at him."

Also, while we're on the topic of Trumpian alternative facts, please allow me to assert that the guy does have tiny hands. His rebuttal during the campaign was that he has fathered five children. That was never the question. If people question whether Alex Smith can play in cold weather because of the size of his hands, Smith should focus the media's attention on Trump. Every time he raises his hand during a speech, you can't help but notice his teeny tiny mitts.

Its been one of the few places where you could get away from all the pro and anti Trump stuff.

touts do you think Trump would give himself?

I actually heard a funny line about Obama and Trumps favorite foods
Trump's is a baloney sandwich on white bread with Russian dressing and served with a teeny tiny pickle

Losing to Yale means you have to rip the whole team apart and start all over again with new touts!

He probably saw the four Yale come from behind victories over Brown in basketball and Hockey these last two weekends and decided to go with a winner.

Just to clarify, Melvin Rouse never had an offer from Duke. He announced a commitment via Twitter and Duke coaches had to tell him he never had an offer. Not sure why the mis-understanding.

As for the lb from Illinois, he did have an offer but when he tried to commit, Duke was unfortunately full on lbs. he pledged to Yale a couple days later. Good move for him.

I find it hard to believe that Rodney Thomas did a flip. I am even more surprised Reno would want him. What does this say about the young man's character? Yale can have him. Good riddance.

AJ Ryan had offers from Navy, Central Connecticut, Brown, and Bryant. ESPNBoston All-State selection.

Our recruiting class should be about done with our current numbers. Very solid pull; excited for next season.

New residential colleges will open up soon, which means overall enrollment will increase by about 800 total. That'll be good everyone-for athletics and the school.

I'd guess that several from our mob of LB recruits (and perhaps others) will be off to the Choate feedlot, thus freeing up space for some DLs and maybe at least one large body from the left coast.

gentlemen; may i dare say our blue has eight returning defensive tackles if mr tyler is included. the loss of two starting middle linebackers may be the reason for the focus linebacking recruits.

Unless one throws in some DEs, I make it six returning DTs (one of whom seems to be exclusively JV) including Tyler. But never mind, strength and conditioning may work miracles for us.
