Don Schollander is probably the best choice.

However, Lou Gehrig also was a legend in baseball by his sophomore year at Columbia. During his sophomore year, had a .444 batting average. When he pitched at Yankee stadium, he amazed the Yankees head scout when he struck out 17 batters. “Columbia Lou” was soon signed and he was immediately pulled up to the Yankees team at the age of 19. He played 17 seasons with the Yankees before he sadly got ALS. He is known as one of the best MLB players ever and the best Ivy baseball player ever.

Gehrig was probably the greatest Ivy athlete ever, although he had the advantage of being able to play at a high professional level unavailable in many sports.

Certainly the greatest Ivy athlete in any of the high profile sports.

I think Hobey Baker deserves a serious discussion if we're going back that far (or farther). He was probably the best hockey player in the world at 18, after playing the game for seven years.
