Sean Gleeson, Princeton's RBs coach and former QB who played for Coach Perry at a Williams, is the new Tiger OC/QB coach and his first comment was a promise to continue "playing fast." Good choice!

Glad to see the greatest QB in Brown history (Ivy history?) get a shot at a hc job. His days at Brown are the finest in my football memory, particularly his heroics in defeating Penn 58-51 in 1998 (not to mention the 1999 championship).

The (minor) question now is: does Perry now cheer for Brown or Princeton when they play each other? If I were Perry, I'd take the proverbial Fifth in responding to such a question, but that doesn't mean we can't speculate....

If he roots for Dartmouth or Penn.

The guess here is Penn.

I imagine he will continue to cheer the players he recruited/worked with, then gradually revert to alma mater, don't you think?

James Perry has hired Kevin Kelly, former Georgetown HC, as his DC and Vinny Marino from Davidson as his OC. His quality control coach at Princeton, Erik Bunker, is his RB coach but no other assistants have left the Tiger coaching staff to join Coach Perry at Bryant.

Kelly was well regarded as an energetic coach at Georgetown who managed to overcome, to some extent, the limitations of that program. That should be a good hire by Perry.

Kelly was a candidate for the Yale head job when Reno was hired.

If anyone is interested, Marty Fine is now the head coach of New Mexico Highlands University, a DII football program.
