While we're at spelling skills and other such things, I thought that Ivy alumni ought to know that the plural of "Ivy" is "Ivies," but you wouldn't know that from the constant references to the "Ivys" on this board. Grade school stuff.

Not everyone agrees with you.

1. Perplexingly, to me at least, having not everyone agree with me seems to be a constant.

2. Thanks for note about Business Insider. Unfortunately, with U.S. literacy plummeting like a rock these days, having people "agree with you" is a decidedly shaky indicator of whether or not you are correct. My counter to Business Insider: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/ivy.

I agree with you, but it's a losing battle. Surprised at the Ivy educated who don't seem to know the difference between "your" and "you're" and so on. But there's an excuse for everything--ADS, laziness, too busy to proofread, etc.

All true. It was a losing battle. Now it's a lost battle. U.S. literacy is circling the drain.

Soon this slop will make its way into a future space shuttle's operating manual. Then, when the instructions are so ambiguously murky that the astronauts have no idea what they mean, they'll have no way to drive the thing back home.

There won't be space missions in the near future due to lack of funding as all our resources will be spent building a useless and ineffective giant wall.

You're right, of course. Too bad the Germans crushed the Berlin Wall. Could've saved some dough by just crating it up and slapping it back together in TexNewMexZona.
