Four overtimes against Columbia, and just a loss to show for it.

Valiant effort by both teams in presumably the longest game in Columbia women and men basketball history. If you are an Ivy League Digital Network subscriber, you watch all or part. Emily Surloff hit a 3-pointer for Columbia with one second left in the third overtime to tie the game and move it into the fourth overtime. Camille Zimmerman had 37 points and 19 rebounds for Columbia.

Watched Columbia win the men's and women's bball games last night. Women's game was a scorched-earth, marathon, see-saw tug of war away game for us. Longest Ivy women's game on record.

Huge credit to Dartmouth who fought us hard all the way. Tremendous and memorable way for Columbia basketball star alum, Megan Griffith, to take home her first Ivy game head coaching victory!

Taking the long seven-mile drive to see the Columbia game in Cambridge tonight. Go Lions!

Would be curious to see how much Columbia and Dartmouth have left in the tank for tonight's games.

Dartmouth is at least at home. Columbia fortunate that Cambridge isn't far from Hanover.

Wonder if the Ivy forefathers anticipated four-overtime games when they decided on the Friday-Saturday games schedule....

that the Dartmouth women's coach needs to recruit a little better so they can "Take a load off Fanni" who was named co player of the week

Boston Lion--you should have driven to NYC. Great game at Levien.

Dartmouth women beat Cornell on the day they honor Chris Wielgus! Excellent job considering they played four overtimes the previous night!

And best I can tell, not a peep from Banghart acknowledging Wielgus. Not even a shout-out on her twitter feed.

Thanks, Florida Lion. You're right. It looks like that was an exciting contest and a great Lion win against my grad school alma mater.

I did get to meet our new alumna coach, Megan Griffith, at the women's game. My sense is that she's absolutely going to crush it in the Ivy coaching ranks in the future. Harvard's coach has been there for 30+ years and our coach is in her first season, and still our coach had it all tied up at 68-68 with 20 secs left, and just narrowly lost by 2 points on a lucky H buzzer-beater.

I'll be driving to Providence and New Haven for the Brown and Yale games, and also to scarf down some of the best pizza in the U.S. at New Haven's apizza joints. Also looking forward to seeing our #2-ranked men's squash team play Harvard in Cambridge next Saturday.
