A century of mediocrity for Columbia football? Foehi, you're being charitable! Losing your edge?

We won the Rose Bowl in 1934, 83 years ago. To Foehi, that's a century because he's mathematically challenged. Still, in his defense, I must say that it feels like a century, maybe two.

Maybe it's imaginary but I get a vibe from some descriptions plus highlight video that this year's recruiting crop may have more talent than usual. It's Bagnoli's third at CU and improvement is due. Any talent mavens out there have an opinion?

Anders Hill will start for sure; but behind him we have rising sophs Matt Dame (3 star recruit), Hunter Petlansky (who ran the option last year), two good looking incoming recruits, and perhaps others I am overlooking. So we should be in good shape there. We also have a lot of talent at RB, pass catching third down back, and WR; I still think somebody will need to emerge as a legitimate pass catching TE.

I assume the plan is to have a three-deep in place at all positions including quarterback by the completion of spring practice. Columbia has six returning qb's on its roster--Hill, Castner, Dame, Hong, Petlansky and Suitt. Obviously, Hill is the key to our offense, and the expected team leader in the fall. Petlansky saw some action his freshman year, but primarily in wildcat type formations. Still, even that limited field time, might give him an edge over the other returning qb's going into what looks to be a very competitive spring.

There are three DE/TEs in the incoming class, but someone has already indicated Nichols will most likely play defense. Maybe one of the other two will be the future pass catcher.
