Cornell's Sweet Sixteen run in 2010 is one of the conference's signature achievements ever. But Donahue kind of stumbled into Foote and, overall, the pieces came together for Cornell in a way which did not reflect some institutional or program momentum. It was kind of a lucky break, more serendipity than the construction of a program.

A lot of changed since then, mostly Harvard raising the recruiting arms race again and again. I don't think that Cornell's 2010 achievement is as relevant today, as much as I wish it were.

The momentum is not building in the favor of HYPP and that won't stop until Harvard reverts its academic standards to some closer to the Jeremy Lin era.
