I think BGA announced another guy or two.

But their credentials were not impressive. One guy had some D-III offers. The others... I didn't see any.

My gut is that Teevens was holding out spots for some other guys, and when they went elsewhere, he gave those spots to them. Hopefully they can contribute.

Was it just bad luck last year that we went 1-7 in the Ivies? Do we have the horses to rebound? Was our burst of success due to an outstanding QB? I read somewhere that the AD remarked "I didn't just come here to fix football."

I'm sure Buddy loved reading that statement where Sheehy takes credit. Is Sheehy still running out of the locker room with the football squad. Or did he stop with that when things started getting bad last year? LOL.

1) Depends on your definition of "luck." We had injuries, slipped on crucial plays, dropped catchable long passes, missed makeable FGs, and watched other teams make long FGs against us. I think there was also a sense of complacency having beaten every team not named "Harvard" the past two seasons.

2) Yes.

3) No.

4) If there is friction between Teevens and Sheehy, I am not aware of it.

3)

Last one I saw was on Feb 15: Trevor Forbes RB 6'0" 190 White Station (TN)

Offers from Harvard, Yale, Navy + smaller FBS schools.

He is #27 on my list so there must be a few more out there that have not surfaced on Twitter.

So far Princeton's class is more South-heavy than I recall in the past: 4 from GA, 4 from FL, 3 from TX, 2 from TN and 1 from NC.

The Dartmouth AD never "ran out of the locker room" with the football squad. It's not his style.

Believe it or not, that was former Dartmouth PRESIDENT (Jim Kim, now President of the World Bank) you are talking about. He would sometimes lead the team in their pre-game charge onto the field, stalk the sidelines, second guess the playcalling and almost got flagged for going too far onto the field at Penn!

And yet there's something endearing about an Ivy president visibly cheering on the football team instead of plotting its demise.

I have not heard any news regarding Cornell football since the Penn game last November. Nothing on the website has been updated regarding the coaching staff, as apparently we hired a new offensive coordinator. No news on spring practice or the spring game. Cornell doesn't make it easy to be a sports fan. However, they did send me a new request to donate money.....which I did, but that is the only time we Big Red sports fans ever hear from Cornell athletics. One winning season in 17 years and you would think someone would get off their A... and make things happen.

On the other side of the coin the Lions are giving us plenty of information. Between Instagram.twitter and a sponsored blog we are getting plenty of information and highlights. We have learned about position changes and who the candidates are for the 2nd string QB. The spring game is open to the public.

The highlight of last season was Cornell's upset of Colgate in Hamilton. I think one of the reasons Colgate football is so good is that program stays on top of things. Check out their website and compare it to Cornell. I mean Cornell is more than four times larger than Colgate and our endowment is way bigger than the Red Raiders. The Colgate spring schedule is up, new recruits, the 2017 schedule, you name it. In comparison the last thing posted on the Cornell football website is our annual banquet back in January. However every season Colgate seems to have our number in football. It's the attention to details that counts!
