After week 1 Yale and Dartmouth are tied for first place in the Red Rolfe Division at 3-1. There's a three way tie for first in the Lou Gehrig Division between Princeton, Penn and Columbia who are all 2-2. Penn came from behind into beat Dartmouth 7-6 in 11 innings in the night cap to prevent a perfect 4-0 start for Dartmouth. Harvard had a tough weekend and is 0-4 in league play.

The bright spot for Yale this weekend was the pitching. Their ERA in league play is just 2.03 and the league batting average against Yale pitching is just .207. Yale had three complete games this weekend with Politz, Stiegler and Brodkowitz all going the distance and picking up wins. Brodkowitz threw an incredible (and scary) 129 pitches today in his 3-1 victory. The fact that Stuper would let Brodkowitz go that long shows how important every league game is.

No 20-0 season for Dartmouth.

I went back and looked it up-the record for Ivy wins since the divisions split is 17.

That's our goal!

:)

They could do it. Dartmouth has a RPI ranking of 67, far better than any other Ivy League school. As a whole the Ivy League looks like one of the stronger mid major leagues based on these RPI rankings.

Columbia swept Harvard, completely shutting down H's hitters and only allowing a single run in 16 innings.

The fact that Stuper would let Brodkowitz go that long shows how Stuper doesn't care at all about his pitchers' long-term health.
