While interim scores are essentially pointless, Princeton's lousy road play seems to have grown to epic proprtions; trailed at Hanover 3-5 at the half.

Would have loved to have heard the halftime talks: Tigers scored seven in the first twelve minutes of the third to go up 10-6. They may still be walking back to NJ.

Final P 16-6. Great first-half effort and goal play (10 saves against Sims and McBride) by overmatched Green, may actually be a turning point in Tiger season.

Nice to see Sims back, they need him.

Yale will host the tournament. Not sure that hosting is really much of an advantage.

If Yale can hold off Dartmouth they may be hosting the baseball championship series that same weekend as well.

First half looked like a long day as Lehigh dominated face-offs, but then Cornell worked their way back and had a very good win today 16-11. Lehigh won face offs a whopping 24-6! However, Cornell's picked up some key turnovers and then our attack took over. If this team can find a face-off man, we might win a few more games.

If they have a coach who knows what they are doing, guaranteed they will turn things around next season. Lehigh is a pretty good team so a solid win.

Despite my recent criticisms, the coaching staff are obviously good recruiters and offensive game tacticians. Where Cornell has been struggling is on defense and face-offs. When you lose 24-6 in face offs and still win the game, that's impressive, but you still need to win those face-offs. One of my relatives is a former college lacrosse player and he said the best face-off guys are wrestlers who can get low and have quick wrists. Face-off specialists have become a really key position today in college lacrosse.

Saw a clip recently pretty much agreeing with the faceoff man theory. Denver's face off guy is built like a truck. Same with Albany. I'm sure others are doing it similar or at least seeing the need for it.

Yale is almost assured of a tournament spot if they keep up the strong play down the stretch. They are ranked 12th by coaches, #11 by Inside Lacrosse this week.

Very big game for Yale this Saturday evening at Albany. If Bulldogs pull upset and then run rest of Ivy table (Harvard plus tourney), NCAA seeding likely. Tall order to get job done on the road in Capital District against favorite for POY honors. Go Bulldogs!

Yale's freshmen are giving them a boost. Their weakness is goaltender. Either they use the undersized kid or the oversized statue kid.

Albany is a team deceptively deep in talent. They have one big gun but if he gets double teamed, the rest of the squad steps it up. Albany has learned a thing or two about having lopsided offense. They used to just let Lyle Thompson run the table but now they are much more of a team effort.

Reeves is an outstanding player. Yale has several guys with solid talent. They are scoring quite a bit and seemed primed for a good playoff run

My non-guru assessment from seeing their highlight reels this season is they need to outscore teams because they don't have the same balance on defense and certainly not goaltending, Against a top 5-10 team they run into trouble.
