Hill looked sharp and definitely looking better than last year. Receivers very strong, way better than last year too. OLine pretty good, probably as good as last year right now. Backup QB's work in progress, both played solid but nothing spectacular, so unclear who backup will be. Several starting/key defensive players didn't play at all. Still questions since one starting frosh LB missed, one played banged up. Only surprise was 14, a backup OLB who played very well and looks like will get on field in fall. Rest were fine but nothing exceptional. DLine very solid even with 2 starters/key guys missing. DB's looked very good and it felt like a bit more speed than prior years even with 2 starters missing. RB's looked good, and bigger but 20 got banged up and pulled early. RB 30 had very good game, as did 25 who looks quick and elusive. 22 didn't play due to baseball. Overall, team looked way ahead of same point last year, but still some questions going into fall. Definitely a lot better depth than last year and no obvious holes other than the need for a really fast RB.

That would be a tremendous boon if Anders Hill has matured into the role of a credible starting QB. His escapability and running ability has never been in question. It is his decision making and passing accuracy that has been a problem.

I am not worried about the defense. What used to be mangled swiss cheese has been turned around. If they can solve the depth they have always needed they should be able to stay in games.

"no obvious holes". Could be the title of a book about the history of Columbia offensive lines over the years.

I could ask, very politely, if that could also be the title of a book about your head, but that wouldn't comply with my courteous,
Dignified persona, so I won't.
