All the best to Coach Joe. His work at Coastal Carolina has been amazing. Just watching their games you can see the disciplined play and team philosophy in action. For the CU job, it was certainly farcical for Moglia to be passed over for Pete Mangurian. Though would Moglia have been able to muscle the financial facelift required to win at CU? The new AD and Coach Bagnoli have moved a mountain in no small way as a result of the colossal failure of Mangurian.

No consolation but it would seem both Mangurian and then-AD M Dianne Murphy's careers have nose dived as a result of that tragedy of events.

Take a few minutes of time to google Moglia's two-core philosophies for his football program: BAM (Be A Man) and LAF (Life After Football).

He's explicit that BAM is not about gender, but about taking responsibility for your actions and accepting full accountability. LAF is self-explanatory, but a good reminder that, while the Ivies like to sell access to a powerful alumni network, teaching young men to prepare for life after football is much broader than giving a graduate a high-paying job on Wall Street.

Moglia is doing great things for his kids and winning championships at the same time. This should have been happening in Morningside Heights but what are you going to do? As Moglia himself would have told Columbia, "No risk, no reward." I think Bagnoli will do an excellent job, but Moglia would have been transformative.
