Did anyone attend the scrimmage against Montclair State? For what it's worth, CU won 26-10. From what I read, a number of freshmen played particularly well. Mathiasmeier and Nichols on defense, Moore as running back and Dillon as quarterback. I'm interested in the backup QB slot. Does this indicate that it may go to a freshman?

Gocolumbialions.com has an extensive report on the scrimmage. Starters only played two series.

Thanks, I did read that and found it interesting. CU athletics has been doing a great communication job. Still wondering how many snaps each of the potential QB backups had.

The number of snaps are shown on the Columbia Athletics website--just go to the play-by-play summary. Dillon Davis and Josh Bean both appear to be doing very well, but for various reasons the back-up quarterbacks at Ivy League schools at the beginning of the season are almost always upperclassman. The coaching staff did a very nice job spreading things around not just at the quarterback spot, but at all 22 positions.
