The truth is we the fans that support yale football who enjoy watching yale were not invited.

I saw no published reports stating that the scrimmage was closed. In fact, I believe it has been wide-open each year that it's held in Providence. I had other commitments yesterday and didn't make the trip, but I don't think anyone would have been turned away, had they shown up.

The scrimmage was open. Tony Reno emailed the YFA inviting all to attend.

So what happened at the scrimmage? I thought I saw a brief post in response to Walt's question earlier today, but it seems to have been taken down. By the way, I am very sympathetic to Walt and other local fans who feel left out of the loop. There are important ways to support Yale football (such as attending games!) in addition to the YFA.

I agree Bulldog Fan. The scrimmage should have been advertised on the Yale Football website. Since it was open I can't understand why it wasn't.

Yale arrived in five busses. Quit complaining about depth.
Yale has the Ivy Rookie of the Year, Dudak a running back from western PA
Earlier I noted Brown Frosh Boylan a dynamite receiver
with extra speed
Will O Line was quality. Two deep. Duda took advantage of solid blocking cutting cleverly and breaking tackles. Yale 21 Brown zero.
Brown emerges suddenly. Good passing to good receivers and an adjusted
Defense.
Ends 33-31. Yale.
On balance, both teams better than projected each with difference maker youths. Dudak and Boylan start for any Ivy team. Each will improve as year goes on but Brown has to play Harvard early which is more pressure than Yale has though Yale plays a really tough Lehigh team early.
If Y played B third week, not buying a ticket would be an error. Each will entertain.
Nobody can take either other than as a big game.
By golly Bengali!

Thanks, Acob. If anyone has watched films of Zane Dudek (4th leading rusher in PA history), you might agree that he is a special RB. Now the question is what will become of him over the next 4 years? Acob says he would start on any Ivy team (now?). The real question is can he develop and be kept health to fulfill his true potential? This is on the coaching staff, imo.
