I hope all that praise will still be deserved in 2027.

Make that 2029 when hopefully Yale plays Georgia. That game could be the capstone of a dynasty Reno builds at Yale. Next step though is to repeat as champions next year.

Also Reno needs to capture that elusive perfect season for Yale, something Cozza, Sidliecki and now Reno have come so close to achieving only to have it slip painfully through their fingers.

There is still a lot of work to do to restore Yale football to the heights it enjoyed in the past, but count me as a believer that Reno will lead Yale Football back to the promised land. I wouldn't trade him for any coach in the country right now.

Can’t wait to read the Dartmouth article when Teevens finally beats Harvard.

While I have no wish to be seen as consorting with the foe, leave us string together a few 1888-like seasons before we proceed with the deification of St. Anthony. None of us wishes to be seen as the New Haven version of the now blessedly silent O.
As for us v. GA in 2029 (I hate the number 29), a toxic brew of folly and hubris, I suggest we settle it by single combat, bulldog v. bulldog. Michael Vick could referee at a neutral site, say, Gettysburg

gentlemen; indeed what a difference a year can make.add to the squad the trio of mr rymiszewski,mr oluokon and mr tyler and defensive coordinator mr mcgowan and the whole team changes on defense from 3-7 season to 9-1. add mr dudek to the offense with the same turnaround.coach reno had a great season with only a flub on the reservation. if coach reno can keep mr mcgowan and his coaching staff for a few more years i suspect with the addition of key players each year our squad will continue to be successful year in and year out. after all coach cozza had the benefit of keeping superb defensive coordinator mr amendola for more than twenty years with the addition of key players each year.

I must be making progress with you L et V on the Georgia game. "Folly and Hubris" is an improvement from "lunacy." :)

Too bad Reno didn't get coach of the year this season. #Robbed I can't wait to see how this year's recruiting class measures out. Looks absolutely stacked at RB so far.

L et V has got it right. Let's hold off on commissioning the statue until such time as 9-1 seasons are a minor disappointment.

The guy's arse was firmly in the fire just 57 weeks ago.

Perspective, folks, perspective.

For all the abuse Reno has taken over the years on social media he deserves this moment in the sun.

“Island In The Sun”, Darryl Zanuck, Harry Belafonte, Tony Reno, “God and Man at Yale”, Teevens 0-13 against Harvard, William Buckley, the ancient Goddess of Perspective: this thread has some of my favorite food groups.

It looks like the JMU coach is running away with it. I guess winning your conference means something more to other FCS schools than the Ivy League, where we bring other things into consideration like how bad your team was for the last 100 years versus one season. Even if Bags goes 500 next year, I expect him to be in the running again for COY honors due to this factor.

To be fair, the JMU coach is in the FCS finals, while the Yale coach is at a school which refuses to participate in the C of fCs...
